The Throne and Cinco de Mayo

Ok so Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone. Not to be confused with Mexican independence day, which is in September, but a great excuse for celebratory behaviour. I personally have mixed feelings about the day, on the one hand it’s full of chips, salsa and margaritas. All very fun things. On the other hand it’s also the anniversary of the day my mom died. Not a fun thing at all. So inevitably it’s like…do I really want that shot of tequila? Cause if I do I’ll probably cry. But the chips and guacamole, you can’t go wrong with them. So I picked out two editorials, the first one for The Ground magazine, shot by Seiji Fujimori, is very dramatic and serious. And I am in love with the archery shot. Then the second one for Harpers Bazaar Mexico, which is Mexican just like Cinco de Mayo, and shot by Kevin Sinclair. Perhaps a bit more cheerful as well. That’s what I’ve got ya’ll.
