The Perfect LBS

That’s Little Black Shoes of course.  I’ve realized recently that I have a variety of shoes, none of which are a pair of classic black shoes. Given that I’ll probably be entering the ‘interview for jobs’ circuit soon I could probably use a trusty pair of black steeds. Here are two artists that I found whose work I could see hanging in my living room, if I had room to hang things other than my own work. And not because I’m that egocentric (I might be) but because I have no where else to put my work. Ah, city living at it’s finest. Any way I think these pieces are pretty stellar by Joshua Dildine and Adele Sypesteyn.

Blurred dreams and fantasies of a bygone era come together in this surreal editorial by Steven Meisel for Vogue Italia’s February issue, at once nostalgic and sinister, really beautiful. I’d all but written Steven Meisel off, seeing as his work tends to be formulaic, but collage feel of this layout makes his work feel new.
