Biker Chic-ly Humane
I never thought I would see the day when I was really wanting a leather jacket…..but such a day has come. I won’t buy an actual leather jacket, however, because I’m a vegetarian and can’t justify a whole leather object. Though I still want to look really awesome so I found these faux versions that I think give the real version a run for it’s money.
Need Supply Co. $108
Steve Madden at Nordstrom $98
JJ Winters at Loehman’s $39.99
French Connection at Asos $170
Sanctuary at Lord & Taylor $159
Fashion Week Spring 2013
This season instead of posting about all the predictable designers and how I love their designs (read Rodarte, Jason Wu, Honor), which I do, I wanted to post about two designers that I had never heard of whose beautiful work stood out to me. I’m sure I’m way behind and these peeps have probably been around for awhile but, what can I say, I’m just not in the loop. First is Bora Aksu, which aside from the fact that they appear to be wearing panties on their heads, are lovely modern, yet still feminine designs. Love the yellow as well, though I would look ghastly in it:
Second is Clements Ribeiro, which has more of the vintage lady-like feel that I’m such a sucker for:

Art again!
Okay I have nary an excuse for why I haven’t posted but I’m here posting now and it’s pretty artastic. These two artists I found recently and actually think they visually complement each other so here they are:
These photos are by Patty Carroll titled ‘Anonymous Portraits’
and these mixed media pieces are by Scott Waters titled ‘Domestic Violence”
Aline Weber for Vogue Japan
Ok, this is from 2011 but it’s beautiful so I thought I would post it anyway
